Best Starting XI For Team India Versus Pakistan For Super12 Match

On September 8, the BCCI confirmed the 15-man squad for Team India for the forthcoming 2021 T20 World Cup. The team includes many world-class players as well as individuals who have recently been in excellent form. All of them will have to be at their best since this is an ICC trophy that can only be won by the greatest.

India will begin the T20 World Cup against archrivals Pakistan on October 24 in Dubai. Both of these teams have a history of incredible clashes, thus this promises to be a cracker of a game. The last time these two sides met in a T20I was during the 2016 World Cup.

However, only the top players will be selected for this game, which is probably one of India’s most important games of the tournament. All eyes will be on the Indian squad to see whether they can defeat their adversaries, Pakistan. So, who are the players that are in excellent form and will therefore be included in India’s starting XI?

In this article, we will look at the best starting XI for Team India versus Pakistan based on the current player form-

1. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma has long been one of India’s most productive hitters. The opener has also been in excellent form. He scored 43 runs in his first game in the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

In addition, he was India’s top batsman in the Test series against England in England. He hit an incredible century in his last innings over there. Although the format is different, the knock demonstrated that he was in excellent shape.

In limited-overs cricket, India’s vice-captain has a strong record versus Pakistan as well. Add to it his outstanding T20I record. As a result, Rohit’s present form indicates that we’re in for a real treat.

2. KL Rahul

KL Rahul is without a doubt one of India’s finest T20I batters. His recent form has also been excellent. He, like his opening partner Rohit, had an outstanding series in England. Over there, the opener was clearly India’s second-best batter.

The Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain has also been in superb form in the IPL 2021. This season, his batting average is 52.75. For his supporters, the fact that he has been carrying his team’s batting is the frosting on the cake.

3. Virat Kohli (C)

Is there an Indian playing XI that isn’t missing Virat Kohli? We do not believe so! Regardless of the Indian captain’s form in the other two forms, he has been excellent in the shortest version of the game. In fact, he has performed well in every T20 series in 2021.

It all began during the T20I series against England when he was scoring runs just for fun. He was also named player of the series for his performances. He also had a good IPL 2021 season. So far, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain has performed with a lot of responsibility.\

4. Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav is the only player in our starting XI who hasn’t played well in recent games. In the second phase of the IPL 2021, the middle-order batsman has appeared hopelessly out of touch.

However, winning by default is still winning, and SKY gets named to this playing XI. Aside from him and Kishan, India doesn’t really have a number four.

However, keep in mind that he was practically in the best shape of his life before the start of the second round of IPL 2021. To say the least, his T20I statistics are outstanding. He has a 46.33 average, a 169.51 strike rate, and two fifties to his credit.

5. Rishabh Pant (WK)

Rishabh Pant’s year has been 2021. He has completely changed himself and is now a match-winner for India. Despite failing to get a fifty, he appeared in excellent form against England in a T20 series earlier in March.

He showed tremendous maturity after being appointed the new captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC). Despite hitting in the middle of the order, his batting average has been 38.88. He has also looked excellent in most of DC’s recent games.

6. Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya has always been regarded as one of India’s finest all-rounders. However, his fitness was a major question mark since he wasn’t bowling very much. Add to it his sluggish performance earlier this year.

He has, however, been able to re-establish contact. He was initially spotted bowling in limited-overs games against England and Sri Lanka, which was a promising indication.

7. Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja is now one of the most influential players in the world. Bowling, batting, and fielding…. Is there anything he can’t accomplish? It would not be an exaggeration to claim he has been the best Indian player of late.

He is one of the rare players that excelled in both the first and second halves of the IPL 2021. The all-rounder is also one of the tournament’s most useful players right now. This season, he had a batting average of 146.72.

This season, he had a batting average of 59.67. However, it is his effect, rather than the statistics, that has amazed everyone. His form has been outstanding of late, whether it was the game against RCB when he won CSK a game all by himself or the game against KKR where he altered the whole complexion of the game.

8. Ravi Ashwin

Everyone was taken aback by Ravi Ashwin’s selection. Few anticipated him to be selected to the T20 World Cup team, as many believed in 2017 that his limited-overs career was finished. The legend, on the other hand, has made a stylish return to the game’s shortest format.

So far in the IPL 2021, Ashwin has been outstanding. Despite not being a regular name in the wickets column, he has managed to keep the other teams’ runs under check. With the exception of the opening game of the IPL 2021’s first phase against the Super Kings, he has remained frugal throughout the competition. His economy rate in the second half of the season has been somewhat higher than 6.

9. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been one of India’s unluckiest cricketers. Every time he seems to be in excellent shape, he is hurt and therefore ruled out. He has, however, been consistently excellent of late without getting hurt.

To begin, he was outstanding in his most recent T20I series against England and Sri Lanka. In the series finale versus England, he was named player of the match. He then performed well in the IPL 2021.

Despite his team’s poor performance, he was more than adequate. The seamer is a seasoned performer in this format, having taken 51 T20I wickets. As a result, he will be an important player for India in the T20 World Cup.

10. Varun Chakravarthy

Varun Chakravarthy has become a revelation in the Indian Premier League. It’s fair to label him a “X Factor” contestant. The greatest thing about his being on the Indian team is that many hitters have yet to see him and have no idea what his strengths and shortcomings are.

Regardless, he has been in outstanding form recently.

11 Jasprit Bumrah (No. 11)

Jasprit Bumrah is widely regarded as one of the greatest T20 bowlers in the world. Rarely do you come across a pacer as important as him!! When people compliment him on his bowling even on his bad days, you know he’s excellent.

The pacer has also been outstanding recently. His efforts in the current IPL 2021 would undoubtedly make every Indian fan happy.
