IND Vs SL: 5 Major Talking Points From India’s 3-0 ODI Clean Sweep Against Sri Lanka

IND vs SL: After winning the T20 series 2-1, India clean sweep Sri Lanka in the ODI series 3-0. Rohit Sharma’s men completely dominated the Asia Cup winners in this home series and this must be a very satisfying result considering they will be playing the World Cup at home this year.

Plenty of positives to talk about for India in this series, let’s look at the talking points from the IND vs SL ODI series –

Virat Kohli’s 2 centuries in 3 games

After ending the last year with a century, King Kohli started this year with another ton as well. Not only that, he scored it at a great pace which helped India to post massive total of 373. In the final ODI, he repeated the same with an unbeaten 166.

KL Rahul settling well at number 5

With Shubman Gill in terrific form, team management decided Rahul to play at number 5 slot in the batting order. The wicket keeper batsman did justice to that with a match winning knock at the Eden Gardens in the second ODI.

Umran and Siraj brings fresh air in the pace attack

In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Deepak Chahar, India did not feel the void as Umran Malik and Mohammed Siraj turned out to be regular wicket takers. Siraj almost single handedly rattled the Sri Lankan batting in the 3rd ODI which helped India win the game by the biggest of margins.
