Team India wrapped up the T20 series against England after yet another comprehensive win in the second T20 international at Birmingham. After the disappointing defeat in the 5th test just few days ago, It was a terrific comeback for the Men in Blues in the white ball cricket. In the first T20I game at Southampton, India put up 198 on the board and won the game by 50 runs. It was do or die for England today to save the series. Jos Buttler won the toss and surprisingly elected to field first taking the small boundaries into consideration. It was a much different surface at Edgbaston, than the one of Southampton two days before.
Richard Gleeson on debut had a fairytale of a day for his country as he picked up 3 most important wickets of India in his first spell. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and in form Rishabh Pant were all his victims. At one point they were 90/5 before Ravindra Jadeja’s fighting knock of 46 not out from 29 balls helped Team India to post a competitive total of 170. It was an even-steven contest at halfway through the game. Incredible bowling performance from Indian seam bowlers got the better of English batters from the first ball. The home side eventually lost the contest by 49 runs.

Hardik Pandya
The 28-year-old all-rounder is playing his best cricket at the moment for both franchise and his country. Hardik was the star of the first game where he scored 51 off 33 with the bat and took 4 wickets with the ball to help India win that game. He became only the second player for India after the legendary Yuvraj Singh to score a half century and take 3+ wickets in one T20i game.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Against a top England side in England, India needed early breakthroughs and veteran Bhuvneshwar Kumar did the job perfectly. In both the games, Bhuvi got the better of England skipper Jos Buttler and dismissed him on a single digit score. In the second game, he took 3 wickets to win the Man Of The Match award.
Yuzvendra Chahal
In a country where the pitch generally favors the fast bowlers, Yuzi Chahal once again showed his masterclass picking up two wickets in both the games. Chahal picked up Harry Brook twice in two games and Moeen Ali and Dawid Malan were his other two victims. It is a really positive for team India to have an inform Chahal in their ranks.
The last and final game of the series is just a formality and this T20 series is already won by skipper Rohit Sharma. Though it will be a game to look forward to for some of the players, the focus will now mainly be on the ODI series that is coming up. England will want revenge in that format of the game, though Team India will try to continue to build momentum that they will carry from the shortest format of international cricket with them.
