Karthik’s selfless decision ever
Even with an above average performance as a captain, Dinesh Karthik handed over the captaincy to England’s Eoin Morgan in between the tournament. Though fans welcomed his selfless decision, the cricket fraternity was surprised over the move. Even Morgan as a skipper couldn’t do wonders for his team as Kolkata Knight Riders got eliminated due to poor net run rate.
Imran Tahir’s absence
Chennai Super Kings and their love affair with the playoffs ended in the IPL 2020 as Dhoni’s brigade couldn’t play up to the mark this season. One of the main reasons for their worst performance was Tahir’s exclusion from the XI. The South African spinner, who won the Purple Cap last time, should have been in the playing XI from the start but he got his chance when CSK were out from the race.
